Halmstad - Syrianksa Betting Preview: Hosts can heap more misery on struggling Syrianska

Ozcan Melkemichel's men are rooted to the bottom of the Allsvenskan and Willie Duncan expects them to endure more misery against Jens Gustafsson's fellow strugglers
There is a crucial bottom-of-the-table clash in the Allsvenskan when second-bottom Halmstad play host to basement boys Syrianska at Orjans Vall on Monday evening.

Jens Gustafsson’s side come into this clash four points ahead of Monday’s opponents and the hosts will be looking to haul themselves clear of the relegation zone with victory over Ozcan Melkemichel’s men.

Halmstad’s last league victory came earlier this month when they recorded an away victory over Syrianska and there appears to be value in William Hill’s even money (2.0) quote for Gustafsson’s men to claim another three points here.

Syrianska are without a win in three months and have collected a paltry two points from their last 10 league matches. William Hill offer 11/4 (3.75) that the visitors halt that alarming sequence of results by winning on Monday while the same firm go 23/10 (3.30) that the match ends in stalemate.

Despite their lowly league position, Halmstad have shown some signs of recovery in recent weeks, having lost just three of their last seven games and if Gustafsson’s side can begin to turn draws into victories they may well be able to pull themselves clear of the drop zone.

William Hill customers will be able to watch this match live on the firm’s website via William Hill TV on Monday evening but, with so much it stake, it is hard to anticipate a classic between these two sides.

Halmstad have managed just four goals in seven home matches thus far this term while Syrianska have scored only four times in seven away matches so the 19/20 (1.95) quote from William Hill for fewer than three goals to be scored carries appeal here.

William Hill also go 11/10 (2.10) that either side fails to score on Monday and that is a price that is sure to prove popular with punters given that the two sides have managed just 27 league goals between them thus far this term.

However, Halmstad’s recent form suggests that they may be ready to turn the corner while Syrianska remain in freefall and the even money (2.0) quote from William Hill for the home side to win on Monday should be snapped up accordingly by punters.
