Austria, the new plan for refugees and asylum seekers

Austrian Defence Minister has drafted a plan that will repair the European Union's policy on immigrants by proposing the establishment of a limit to the permitting application for asylum from outside the EU. The news is reported by the German newspaper "Bild" during this swelling.

Hans Peter Doskozil, a Social Democrat, told German daily changes are very necessary to create a more orderly system for legal immigration of those who seek asylum in countries of the bloc.

"Everything is done to end the failed European policy for asylum seekers. We need to accept and to be honest, the EU has limited capacity to host more immigrants. So we should stop illegal immigration, "the minister was quoted as saying by the Austrian newspaper" Bild ".

Doskozil will present the plan at a meeting of the Defence Cooperation body for the Central European (CEDC) in February and aims to "promote the plan in Brussels by force," said his spokesman.

"Bild" states that plan Doskozil calls for a limit emigration to the EU, based on the restrictions imposed by member countries, which would force countries like Germany - that has not one such limit - to define it. Plan Austrian Defence Minister also calls for the creation of centers for asylum seekers in countries like Nigeria, Jordan and Uzbekistan, using mostly existing facilities used by the UN agency for refugees, UNHCR.

Immigrants who are refused asylum, or those who have entered the EU illegally and should be returned to their countries of origin, can be transferred to these "protected areas" associated with asylum centers.

Ministry spokesman, citing the plan said that those immigrants who are judged to be in need of protection, could be transferred to an EU country, depending on the capacity of that country to integrate immigrants. Asylum applications will be evaluated by teams of experts from the EU countries, he said.

Doskozil told the "Bild" that his plan brings benefits to asylum seekers who needed help but could not apply earlier because they were unable to arrive in Europe.

Austria announced the establishment of a ceiling of 37,500 for asylum last year, having received over 90 thousand asylum seekers during the worst crisis of refugees in Europe in 2015.
