Turkey, the biggest loss in the fight against ISIS
14 Turkish soldiers were killed in fierce clashes with militants in Syria. Wednesday's fighting took place in the town of al-Bab, where Turkey is helping the rebels to take control of ISIS.
Turkish officials indicated that the clashes injured 33 other soldiers. These fights recorded the biggest losses in one day Turkish military since Ankara began its military operations in Syria in August. The Turkish military said that in combat Islamic State used more than 130 suicide bombers and militants of the terrorist group were killed, although this balance can not be verified independently.
While the battle for Aleppo seems that in practice already been closed, as the city is falling into the hands of the government, the war on Al-Bab city has escalated significantly. This strategic city located 20 km away from the Turkish border and is the target of the Turkish offensive of 4 months, which aims to reverse the ISIS forces and Kurdish.
According to Turkey, its operations have caused huge losses to the Islamic State and the taking of the city is a matter of days. However, it is not clear how deep into Syria is ready to intervene if Turkey will play a role in future deportation operation ISIS from his capital "de facto" in Raka.
