US snowstorm and blocking roads. Situation getting worse

A winter storm with strong winds and intense rainfall over snow hit New England region of the United States, in some areas of which the thickness of snow is expected to reach 46 cm.

The US National Meteorological Service warns of weather severity of Massachusetts, and in most of Maine, where snow has fallen continuously.

"The storm is moving quickly," the experts said. Many areas of Maine will be covered from 8 to 23 cm of snow. Here and in New Hampshire, more than 5,000 people were left without electricity.

Despite the difficult times, there are no reports of any mass blocking main roads, or cancellations of flights.

Weather Service also issued a warning to the frigid weather in parts of West Virginia and western Maryland.
