High toxic emissions

Best-selling model of prestigious vehicle brand "Audi" results with high toxic emissions tests carried out by experts of the European Commission, which adds doubts violation in what is known as "luxury unit" to "Volkswagen".

Laboratory test data threaten to draw the largest contributor to the group in the scandal that has engulfed the company since admitted manipulating US emissions controls with software that nitrogen oxide mask.

Tests conducted by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission have shown that the new generation A3 163 milligram emits nitrogen oxide per kilometer, which means nearly twice the rate limit of 80 mg.

Another test showed that the A3-shi 140 milligrams emitted when the engine temperature 10 degrees Celsius mark, but the issue was under 80 mg when cars burn cooled motor.

Ignition difference between a cold and hot that we find difficult to explain, said "Reuters" Bas Eikhout, member of European Parliament committee investigating the scandal "Volkswagen".

"Audi" insists that emissions A3, which is listed at the top of the global sales of the company this year, outpacing the A4 and A6 models, fully comply with the legal limits.

According to experts, the software installed with the automatic transmission car allows them to react differently during testing and modifying the performance of the vehicle in order to emit less CO2 and nitrous oxide.
