German Defence Minister challenges the Arab
German Defence Minister challenged one of Saudi Arabia's rules by refusing to cover headscarves during the visit carried out in the oil-rich country.
Ursula von der Leyen was received in the capital Riyadh by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, expressing its disapproval of the rule, stating that women should have the same linen dress as men have.
According to Daily Mail, failure headscarf and this statement caused reactions in ultra conservative Saudi society. Social networks in the country were called to arrest him, as it did with a 20-year-old local who published a picture without the veil in the streets of Riyadh.
Strike rules of dress for women in Saudi Arabia are well respected by Hillary Clinton, when he held the post of Secretary of State, while Michelle Obama appeared without a visit to the US presidential couple in Riyadh.
For this, she received criticism from local ultraconservatives who even called the "shameless".
